• Out of the Six hundred and forty one (641) confirmed cases, two hundred and sixty eight (268) cases were reported from routine surveillance, Two hundred and fifty eight (258) cases from enhanced surveillance activities and the remaining one hundred and fifteen (115) cases from travellers who were previously under a 14day mandatory quarantine in Accra and Tamale.
Ghana has recorded five (5) new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to Six hundred and forty one (641).
Over the past few weeks, several new cases of COVID-19 has been recorded in the country as a result of intensive contact tracing and testing.
One from Adenta Municipality and two (2) each from Ayawaso East and Ayawaso Central Municipalities.
With the exception of one of the cases from Ayawaso East, all the new cases are asymptomatic. Contacts of these new cases are being listed for contact tracing or follow up to commence.

Currently, a total of fifty thousand, seven hundred and nineteen (50,719) persons have been tested with 641 being positive for COVID-19.
Out of the 641 confirmed cases seventeen (17) have been treated, reverted to negative on repeat tests and discharged an additional sixty six (66) persons have tested negative once and awaiting second test results.
This means a total of 83 cases have been recovered / discharged.
Five hundred and forty eight (548) cases have been categorized as mild disease and are on treatment, whiles two (2) are categorized as moderate to severe cases, none in critical state currently and eight (8) have died.
The sudden rise new cases is due to the institution of enhanced surveillance, restriction of movement and continuous public education to prevent the spread of cases of COVID-19.
Regions that have reported cases are Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central, Eastern, Western, Volta, Northern, North East, Upper East, and Upper West regions.
