• Thirty-one (31) confirmed cases have significantly improved with no symptoms and have been discharged from admission for home care pending repetition of laboratory tests.
• Out of the 16 regions COVID-19 cases has been recorded in five (5) regions. These five (5) regions are:Greater Accra, Ashanti, Northern, Upper West and Eastern Region.
The Ghana Health Service has confirmed 34 new cases of COVID-19 making the total confirmed cases to hit 195 with five (5) deaths.
All five (5) deaths had underlying chronic medical conditions prior to COVID-19 infection.
Out of the total confirmed cases, three (3) persons have recovered full and have been discharged; whilst one other is awaiting results of laboratory test to inform decision on discharge.
Thirty-one (31) confirmed cases have significantly improved with no symptoms and have been discharged from admission for home care pending repetition of laboratory tests.
This adds to the 18 that were earlier being managed from home and bring the number of cases on home care to forty-nine (49).
Mr. Kwaku Agyemang-Manu the Minister of Health, disclosed this at a press conference on March 1st, 2020, Wednesday morning in Accra.

Most reported cases now are from routine / enhanced surveillance activities.
Total confirmed cases from travellers under mandatory quarantine remains 89. Tamale-10; Accra- 79) whereas the cases from routine surveillance currently stands at 106 (Accra - 95; Kumasi - 8; Obuasi- 2 and Kpong - 1).
