CORONAVIRUS: GHANA RECORDS 11 NEW CASES OF COVID-19

"The 10 Guinean residents will be repatriated to Guinea to receive treatment", the information minister Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said.

• To help curb the coronavirus, parts of Accra and Greater Kumasi goes into partial lockdown effective 1AM on Monday, March 30, 2020.


The Ghana Health Service has confirmed 11 new cases of COVID-19.


Of the eleven (11) new confirm cases by the Ghana health Service, 10 cases are Guinean residents who were picked up by security officials.


After their arrested, they were place in self isolation in Tamale by the directives of the Regional Security Committee of the Northern Region.

All ten (10) persons tested positive of COVID-19 after eleven days of self isolation.


They travelled to the country through Burkina Faso and Togo and were picked following intelligence report.



"The 10 Guinean residents will be repatriated to Guinea to receive treatment", the information minister Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said.


The eleventh case was recorded in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
