CORONAVIRUS: UPDATES AND DESIGNATED HOSPITALS - NUGS BEIJING CHAPTER

• We are kindly reminded of the current medical emergency in China and the need to be less exposed by wearing thicker clothes, nose masks and gloves when you have to go out.

• If possible, avoid going out and where necessary, limit movements until clear communication on the containment of this virus is received.

• NUGS National (of which Beijing is a subset) and the Embassy are in constant communication and on standby for any immediate assistance.

Through the national executive platforms, we are in touch with our colleagues in Wuhan who are unfortunately located at the epicenter of this emergency and as we solidarize with them, we are also entreating all Beijing NUGS members to increase their personal alertness level to 100% and follow official updates from the embassy, NUGS bodies or credible media houses and platforms.

The Beijing Municipal Health Committee has announced 20 designated hospitals responsible for treating patients in Beijing. In the unfortunate event that you experience flu-like symptoms related to the Coronavirus during this period, the Ghanaian Embassy has recommended visiting the Beijing Di Tan Hospital, due to its level of English-speaking Medical Officials.
