COVID-19: CONFIRMED CASES ESCALATES TO 4,263 WITH MORTALITY INCREASING BY 4 AND 378 RECOVERIES

Regions that have reported cases of the coronavirus in the country are Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Central,Western North, Western Region, Volta, Upper East Region, Oti Region, Upper West Region, Northern Region, North East Region, Bono Region.

• Majority of recent cases recorded within the past 72 hours are from the Greater Accra Region.


The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country has jumped to 4,263 latest updates from Ghana Health Service (GHS) on the nation’s COVID-19 situation states.


Recoveries has also moved up to 378 with four additional death bringing the total mortality to 22.


According to the Ghana Health Service, five (5) persons are in a "critical condition or moderately ill"

"Active cases in the country stands at 3,863  with a total number 155,201 persons tested" statement on the GHS website states.


Majority of recent cases recorded within the past 72 hours are from the Greater Accra Region.



The novel coronavirus has now infected 4,024,737 people worldwide since it emerged in Wuhan, China. 279,313 persons have died from the virus and 1,375,854 patients recovered globally.


Per the info on the GHS website, "59 percentage of the total (4,263) confirmed case are male whiles 41% are female".



Savannah, Bono East and Ahafo regions currently haven't recorded any cases of COVID-19.
