COVID-19: FIFTEEN (15) SEVERE CASES WITH TWO (2) PATIENTS ON VENTILATORS

Greater Accra Region recorded 99 new cases, Ashanti Region 23 new cases, Western Region 10 cases, Central Region 5 cases, Western North Region 2 cases, Volta Region 12 cases, Northern Region 1 case.



The case count on Ghana's COVID-19 has increased from 7,616 to 7,768 which is 152 more cases. Recovery has also increased by 119, the Ghana Health Service (GHS), on the latest update on the nation's case count said.


One person has died of the novel coronavirus moving the death toll to 35.

The GHS also stated, there are fifteen (15) severe cases with two (2) patients on a ventilators. 60% of the total confirmed case is male whiles 40% are female.


Out of the 15 regions which have recorded cases of novel coronavirus, seven (7) regions recorded new cases during the latest update.


Greater Accra Region recorded 99 new cases, Ashanti Region 23 new cases, Western Region 10 cases, Central Region 5 cases, Western North Region 2 cases, Volta Region 12 cases, Northern Region 1 case.



Regions with COVID-19 cases in the country are Greater Accra Region, Ashanti Region, Western Region, Central Region, Eastern Region, Volta Region, Western North Region, Northern Region, Upper East Region, Oti Region, Upper West Region, North East Region, Bono Region, Savannah Region, and Bono East Region.


The Ahafo Region is the only region with no cases of COVID-19 yet.
