COVID-19: GHANA RECORDS OVER 10,000 AFTER 291 NEW CASES; AHAFO REGION RECORDS FIRST CASE

A total of 291 new cases of the novel Coronavirus was recorded from nine (9) regions bringing the total case count to 10,201

• Greater Accra Region recorded the highest case of 85, followed by Ashanti Region - 65 cases, Volta Region - 56 cases, Central Region - 50 cases, Oti Region 10 cases, Eastern Region and Western Region - 9 cases each, Bono East Region - 6 cases, Ahafo Region - 1 case.



The Ghana Health Service (GHS), on the latest update on the nation's case count of the novel coronavirus, said, the case count has increased from 9,910 to 10,201 and total recoveries 3,755.


A total of 291 new cases of the novel Coronavirus was recorded from nine (9) regions bringing the total case count to 10,201

Greater Accra Region recorded the highest case of 85, followed by Ashanti Region - 65 cases, Volta Region - 56 cases, Central Region - 50 cases, Oti Region 10 cases, Eastern Region and Western Region - 9 cases each, Bono East Region - 6 cases, Ahafo Region - 1 case.



Meanwhile recovered cases have also increased by 110.


Currently, all 16 regions in the country have recorded cases of COVID-19 with the Ahafo Region bing the last to record a case.



58% of the total confirmed case is male whiles 42% are female. The death toll remains 48.
