Electoral Commissioner (EC), Mrs Jean Mensa

The Electoral Commission says it will embark on a two-day registration exercise for all eligible Senior High School (SHS) students across the country.

The exercise, which will take place from Friday, July 10 to Saturday, July 11, 2020, will be held in all SHSs that do not have polling stations/registration centres within the schools.

A letter dated Thursday, July 9 and signed by the Acting Director of Public Relations, Mrs Sylvia Annoh, encouraged all qualified students aged 18 years and above to present themselves at the registration centres within their schools with either a National ID card or Ghana Passport.

“In the absence of any of these two documents, eligible applicants can use two guarantors who have already registered as voters to guarantee for them,” the statement said.

It added that the Commission would ensure that all Covid-19 safety protocols would be strictly adhered to.
