FOUR MORE DEATHS AS COVID-19 CASE JUMPS TO 13,202 WITH SIX PATIENTS IN CRITICAL CONDITION

Recoveries have also moved up to 4,548 with the death toll increasing to 70 after 4 new deaths were recorded in the Ashanti Region.

• Six (6) patients are currently in critical condition with five (5) others on ventilators while twenty-two (22) persons are in severe condition.



The Ghana Health Service (GHS), on Friday, June 19, 2020, during its briefing on the country's COVID-19 count stated, the case count of COVID-19 has increased to 13, 203 after 274 new cases were recorded in nine (9) regions with 263,725 tests.


Meanwhile, recoveries have also moved up to 4,548 with the death toll increasing to 70 after 4 new deaths were recorded in the Ashanti Region.


All four (4) deaths were recorded in the Ashanti Region.

Active cases have also risen to 8,585 and as it stands, 58% out of the total number of COVID-19 cases are male and 42% are female


The breakdown of 4 new deaths includes a 74year old male with hypertension, A 80year old male, A 65year old female with diabetes, and a 64year old male also with hypertension.


Six (6) patients are currently in critical condition with five (5) others on ventilators while twenty-two (22) persons are in severe condition.



Greater Accra Region recorded 108 new cases, Ashanti Region 95 cases, Central Region 50 cases, Ahafo Region 7 cases, Volta Region 5 cases, Oti Region 4 cases, Eastern Region 2 cases, Western Region 2 cases, Western North Region 1 case.
