In related developments, the Deputy Director of the Foreign Ministry Information Department Mr. Zhao Lijian, in a released statement assured the expatriate communities that they treat all foreign nationals equally in China and rejects any differential treatment since the Chinese government has zero tolerance for discrimination.
He also added, countries all over the world are taking measures to contain the pandemic and in China, our most urgent task is to prevent imported cases and domestic resurgence. To meet this goal the deputy minister said, we need understanding, support and cooperation from both Chinese and foreign nationals in China.
Mr. Zhao Lijian also urge relevant authorities to improve working methods, and hope all foreigners in China will strictly observe local anti-epidemic regulations, and cooperate with and support us in fighting the virus. Together we will achieve the final victory.
Early on Tuesday, 14th April, 2020, the National Executive Body of the Ghanaian Communities Association, released a statement of reassurance to its members.
It stated the efforts it has put in place so far to immediately halt the situation, as well reiterate their commitment in serving members.
