ICU COMMITTED TO CHAMPIONING INTERESTS OF GHANAIAN WORKERS

• The Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU) says the Union will continue to champion the interests and aspirations of Ghanaian workers, as it enters a new year.

• He said the relationship between employers and ICU is paramount to the Union, hence the need for a positive engagement that will create a congenial atmosphere to ensure the smooth running of business.

The Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU) says the Union will continue to champion the interests and aspirations of Ghanaian workers, as it enters a new year.


MR. KOTEI HOPED THE 10 PER CENT PAY RISE FOR PUBLIC SECTOR WORKERS AGREED UPON IN JULY THIS YEAR, WOULD BE EFFECTIVELY IMPLEMENTED NEXT MONTH.

He said the relationship between employers and ICU is paramount to the Union, hence the need for a positive engagement that will create a congenial atmosphere to ensure the smooth running of business.


Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana in a Christmas message, Mr. Kotei hoped the modest stability on the labour front in 2019 would be carried through to 2020.


Mr. Kotei hoped the 10 per cent pay rise for public sector workers agreed upon in July this year, would be effectively implemented next month.
