NPP POLLS: HOPESON ADORYE,PRESIDENTIAL STAFFER, ALEX MARTEY WIN

THE PRIMARIES ARE BEING HELD IN 104 CONSTITUENCIES AMIDST LEGAL HURDLES IN SOME CONSTITUENCIES.

DEPUTY NATIONAL SECURITY COORDINATOR IN CHARGE OF AIRPORTS, MR. HOPESON YAOVI ADORYE.

Deputy National Security Coordinator in Charge of Airports, Hopeson Adorye, has won the ruling New Patriotic Party Kpone Katamanso parliamentary primaries.


He polled 321 votes as against his main contender William Asante, who managed 203 votes.

The other aspirants, Prince Dadzie and David Annang polled 56 and 46 votes respectively.


PRESIDENTIAL STAFFER, ALEX MARTEY, HAS EMERGED AS PARLIAMENTARY ASPIRANT FOR THE NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY (NPP) IN THE NINGO PRAMPRAM CONSTITUENCY.

The Kpone-Katamanso seat is currently being occupied by National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament, Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, who stepped down after serving four terms.


Also presidential staffer, Alex Martey, has emerged as parliamentary aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ningo Prampram Constituency.


Mr. Martey polled 269 votes against his contender Rita Akweley Addotey, who secured 207 votes out of total votes cast.


Mr. Martey, will face off in the 2020 elections with the NDC’s Sam George, who is currently the Member of Parliament for the area.


The primaries are being held in 104 constituencies amidst legal hurdles in some constituencies.
