The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged nation, especially those in the football fraternity, to rally behind newly-elected president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Kurt E. S. Okraku.

I EXTEND WARM CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. KURT E. S. OKRAKU ON HIS ELECTION AS THE 24TH PRESIDENT OF THE GHANA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION. HE HAS EARNED THE CONFIDENCE AND TRUST OF THE FOOTBALL FRATERNITY, AND HIS VICTORY IS WELL-DESERVED. FOOTBALL REMAINS THE PASSION OF OUR NATION, AND I URGE ALL TO RALLY BEHIND HIM IN REALISING HIS VISION FOR THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF GHANA FOOTBALL

Taking to his official Twitter handle, President Akufo-Addo congratulated Mr. Okraku on his election as the 24th President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).


The president said, "I extend warm congratulations to Mr. Kurt E. S. Okraku on his election as the 24th President of the Ghana Football Association. He has earned the confidence and trust of the football fraternity, and his victory is well-deserved.


"Football remains the passion of our nation, and I urge all to rally behind him in realising his vision for the growth and development of Ghana football."


Mr. Kurt E. S. Okraku got massive endorsement after his closest contender Mr. George A. Afriyie withdrew in the third round of voting.

He urged the nation to rally behind the vision of the new Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss for the development of football in the country.
