TWO TYPHOONS TO HIT CHINA, UP TO 154KM/H WINDS!

• According to the analysis of Weather China, the moving path of Typhoon Cempaka is currently difficult to forecast. It may land along the coast from Shenzhen to Maoming in Guangdong province from the night of the 20th to the early morning of the 21st


According to the National Meteorological Center, Two typhoons, named In-fa and Cempaka, are bringing torrential rain and strong wind to south and east China this week.


Two typhoons are about to hit China on the South Coast and South East! Be aware, winds can be up to 154km/h!

The nation has issued alert notice to citizens in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Fujian, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu and several other provinces on the 19th, and reminded them to pay attention to the development and changes of the 2 typhoons and initiate emergency response if necessary.

#1 Typhoon Cempaka - Category 1 (Level 12)


Tropical Storm Cempaka, is the 7th typhoon that has got named during the 2021 Pacific typhoon season. It was upgraded as a severe one on July 19th. According to the analysis of Weather China, the moving path of Typhoon Cempaka is currently difficult to forecast. It may land along the coast from Shenzhen to Maoming in Guangdong province from the night of the 20th to the early morning of the 21st, and become the first typhoon to land in the mainland this year. However, it may also turn to the coastal waters by central and western Guangdong before moving to the northeast.

The National Meteorological Center made a forecast that, Typhoon Cempaka will bring obvious strong wind and torrential rain to the coastal areas of Guangdong no matter it lands or not. From the afternoon of the 19th to the 21st, there will be heavy storm in southern Guangdong and northern Hainan Island. The accumulated rainfall is expected to reach 80-150 mm, and 250-350 mm partially in coastal areas of central and western Guangdong.



#2 Typhoon In-Fa - Category 2 (Level 14)

In-Fa is the 6th typhoon of the 2021 Pacific typhoon season, it was classified as a Tropical Storm on July 18th and later upgraded as a severe one. It is expected to move to the northwest, and the intensity will gradually increase. It may become a typhoon in level 13-15 (wind speed up to 40-48 m/s ). It will move into the East China Sea on the 21st, and then gradually approach the coast of Fujian and Zhejiang.


Heavy storm has happened in several provinces

It will not be easy to predict whether Typhoon In-Fa mainly lands in Fujian or Zhejiang until July 20th. However the rainfall in other nearby provinces has already started. Heavy storm has hit Hebei and Beijing, and it will soon covers Henan, Hebei, Shanxi and so on.
